Reaching the Weddell Sea was a journey unlike any other I had experienced. Along the shoreline, thousands of Adélie Penguins were busy with the routines of daily life—calling to one another, gathering stones for their nests, and constantly moving through the colony. Amid the activity, I looked for a composition that captured both the energy of the colony and the extraordinary setting of one of the most remote places on Earth.
